One of my New Year's Resolutions is to continue to focus on my skincare regime and look and feel great! I just finished a series on 7 tips to Luscious Lips and want to thank everyone for their wonderful feedback and input! One reader even emailed me and told me that after she followed my easy olive oil/brown sugar exfoliation tip, she applied some sexy red lipstick for a date night with her hubby and apparently all night he kept telling her how incredibly sexy her lips were! You go girl!
I did receive questions about specific lip treatments and products. I will continue this series to give some tips about lip products that will also help to make your lips their most luscious and sexiest ev-ah!

This is the fifth in a series on Product Tips for Luscious Lips. I will try to avoid specific product or brand recommendations, as there are countless products that can address most of these tips. Instead, my intent is to focus more on the product/technique to show you how each tip can help you create more luscious lips with any brand of your choice!

Luscious Lip Product Tip #5:
Use a great lipstick to create full, luscious lips!
Again, you can start with a lip primer and lip liner to shape and prepare your lips for lipstick application.
Choose colors that compliment your skin tone. Red lips are certainly luscious and sexy, and there are a variety of cool and warm reds that will compliment any skin tone.
It is also a good idea to "blot" your lipstick after you apply it. Just put a tissue between your lips and press them together lightly to remove excess lipstick and help set the color. Then apply another layer and your lips will look lush, the color will be dynamic and you should get better wear out of that application.
You can also find great lipsticks that help to moisturize your lips and keep them healthy!
One tip is to be careful with the overly matte lipsticks, as for some people they can dry and irritate lips. I love a few matte lipstick colors, but do apply a primer first to seal what moisture my lips already have to avoid that overly dry feeling.
